Looking back at GO electric day 2026

Visitors with increasingly concrete plans to go electric

On 4 October, the Coque in Kirchberg hosted GO electric day 2026, organised by the Klima-Agence in partnership with the Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL). ACL experts provided 352 individual consultations at the ACL stand.

With 2,400 visitors, twice as many as last year, GO electric day is gradually establishing itself a a regular event on Luxembourg’s mobility calendar. For the ACL, one thing is clear: interest in electric mobility is growing.

Visitors with concrete plans to buy an electric car

The audience has changed markedly. ‘Last year, people came to look around and find out more. This year, many already had concrete plans to buy an electric car,’ says Frank Maas, head of mobility solutions at the ACL. After touring the event, many stopped at the ACL stand with specific questions. ‘They wanted to know more about real-world range, particularly on the motorway, the different battery technologies, reliability and maintenance, as well as the brands and models available,’ the ACL expert adds.

Charging remains a major concern. Visitors asked about private and public charging options, and about ways to payment methods abroad, whether by card or app. The GO-e wallbox recommended by the ACL drew keen interest. For installation, the ACL works with its partner Den Elektriker, an electrical contractor that advises ACL members on choosing a suitable wallbox and handles its installation.

Advice tailored to every situation

ACL experts spoke with visitors of all ages, with very different needs and mobility habits. What they had in common was the desire for clear, practical and impartial answers. This is precisely where the partnership between the ACL and the Klima-Agence comes in. With their complementary expertise, the two partners help people make informed mobility decisions, without steering them towards any particular technology.

Not to be missed: Driving fun and road safety

Beyond advice, the ACL offered a range of activities. Visitors could try electric karting and enjoy the thrill of driving without local exhaust emissions. In collaboration with the Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois (FSCL), the ACL also organised a practical learning course where young and old could experience everyday traffic situations, practise safe behaviour and learn more about road safety.
